A penetration test, also known as a pen test, is a simulated cyber attack against your computer system to check for exploitable vulnerabilities. Companies should get penetration tests at least annually, however for environments that change more frequently it’s best practice to do it more often to ensure that the environment is secure protected against threat actors looking to cause your organization harm.
