Articles by: Richey May, Aug 03, 2020
Congratulations to our own Jennifer Hannah for being named to the HousingWire Women of Influence 2020 list!
The Women of Influence Award celebrates leaders in the housing industry. Jennifer was nominated for her efforts to train the next generation of mortgage banking accountants.
“This year’s Women of Influence represent leaders who have faced some of the most unprecedented challenges the housing industry has seen in years,” HousingWire Magazine Editor Kelsey Ramírez said. “Their strength set an example of leadership that impacted not just their teams or companies but the industry overall. This was one of the most competitive years we have ever seen for the award, and we are proud to introduce you to the top 100 Women of Influence.”
At Richey May, Jennifer is known for her leadership and community-building skills. She has spearheaded the efforts to expand Elevate, formerly know as the Women’s Leadership Commission, to promote diversity within Richey May. Through Elevate, Jennifer has worked to create a formalized mentorship process to expand the work she has been doing to nurture the next generation of accountants.
“She goes above and beyond to seek out and support new ideas so we can be the best accounting firm and place to work. She certainly has had a huge influence on my career, and I am so proud and happy to be able to congratulate her on the Woman of Influence award!
-Kathryn Martz, Sr. Audit Manager and Elevate Board Member
Jennifer is also recognized in the industry for the development work she does through the Mortgage Bankers Association. She regularly speaks on panels and provides accounting training to new entrants in the field. Her expertise and experience mean she is often relied upon to interpret complex market conditions through the lens of accounting.
She took it upon herself to start a client network circle where female mortgage leaders could come together and exchange ideas, challenges, and successes. It was a great way to bring our clients together and bring valuable insights to the industry.
