Jake Lawrence

Jake has been with Richey May since 2013 and currently serves as a Tax Partner in the Mortgage Banking practice. Jake is responsible for reviewing federal and multi-state tax returns, developing staff members, developing tax department processes and procedures, and recruiting for the tax department. He specializes in serving the tax compliance and consulting needs of mortgage banking companies and residential loan servicers. Jake enjoys helping clients understand the tax opportunities and consequences that arise from the business decisions they make. Prior to joining Richey May, Jake spent five years at KPMG, LLP preparing and reviewing large multi-tiered partnership and consolidated C corporation tax returns for clients in multiple industries, including real estate, private equity, oil and gas, and communication and entertainment. He worked on a number of large, consolidated C corporation clients at KPMG, including Dish Network and Echostar, both involving hundreds of entities.
