Joel Racker

Joel Racker is a Partner in the Salt Lake City office of Richey May Utah (formerly WSRP). He began his career in 2015 with EY in their audit and assurance practice in Salt Lake City, UT. Joel has worked on clients in various industries including, technology, software/SaaS, life science, biotechnology, manufacturing, construction, consumer products, airlines, leasing, transportation and logistics. Joel’s experience includes large SEC public companies, private companies, and companies considering going public. Joel is also known for working through challenging accounting issues, including ASC 606 adoption and subsequent revenue recognition; debt and equity-related transactions such as share-based compensation, modifications, secondary transactions, preferred-equity financing rounds, convertible debt, accelerated stock repurchases, ASC 842 adoption, ASC 326 adoption and business combinations. Joel has experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 internal control considerations and with SEC filings, including quarterly and annual filings as well as other various registration statements, and has worked through two first-year 404 internal control implementations.
