Michael Wylie Named MPAA-TPN Accredited Assessor
Articles by: Richey May, Jan 31, 2019
Congratulations to our own Michael Wylie, who was recently named a Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) Trusted Partner Network (TPN) Accredited Assessor!
TPN is a new voluntary, global, industry-wide film and television content protection initiative that enables media and entertainment companies to prevent data leaks, breaches, and hacks of their customers’ movies and television shows prior to their intended release. It has established a single benchmark of minimum-security preparedness for vendors and their teams in a single framework of common controls based on the MPAA content security best practices.
TPN assessors go through a rigorous screening of their credentials and experience in the industry auditing information security and entertainment assets, culminating in a technical test and vetting process for the assessor to gain the accreditation.
While the TPN program has been around for less than a year, it is expected to quickly replace individual studio audits with major motion picture houses, such as Disney, contributing to the best practice guidelines. Due to the infancy of the assessment process, many media & entertainment companies are wondering how to pass the TPN assessment. In future blog posts, articles and webinars, we’ll answer all your questions about the TPN assessment process and how to get ready for your next TPN assessment.
Visit the TPN website to learn more about its mission to raise security awareness, preparedness, and capabilities within the entertainment industry, or reach out directly to Michael Wylie to learn more about how Richey May Technology Solutions can assist you with your assessment.
