Clare is a continuous learner and enjoys breaking down problems from the smallest details to the big picture. Her detail-orientation and high standard of work quality earned her the Elijah Watt Sells Award for her performance on the CPA exam. Within the Alternative Investments group, Clare specializes in partnership tax and provides tax services to hedge, private equity, fund of funds, and cryptocurrency funds. Day to day, she enjoys advising clients on tax matters ranging from the ordinary to the complex, and particularly enjoys analyzing and implementing the continuous changes in tax law. She comes from a family of accountants who encouraged her love of numbers, problem solving, and work ethic.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys running, stand-up paddleboarding, and any time she can spend with animals. She lives in Charlotte, NC and works in Richey May’s Matthews office.
