He specializes in partnership tax and services hedge funds, fund of fund, and private equity entities. He has expertise in multi-state tax filings such as New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and many others. Through hard work, determination, and deep dedication Freeman has grown from a intern to a senior tax manager at Richey May.
Some say he bleeds blue since he is so passionate about the Richey May Way. Because of his years of experience and attention to detail he manages several large fund families and complicated fund entities. In his capacity as a Senior Tax Manager at Richey May, Freeman leads the AI Tax Training Committee. This committee is responsible for new hire training, training material updates, and yearly AI Tax University. On a daily basis he communicates with clients, admins, and internal team members to provide exception client service. He reviews federal and state jurisdiction returns for accuracy. From a young age Freeman enjoyed helping people and working with numbers, and participates in Richey May Cares Foundation sponsored events. Working as a tax accountant is a wonderful partnership of his passions. When interviewing with other firms Freeman felt like he was coming ‘home’ at Richey May. This feeling of ‘home’ and ‘family’ continues to be true several years later.
