Gareth Chatkin

Gareth currently serves as a Director on our Alternative Investments Tax team and has spent nearly a decade specializing in the Asset Management Industry. He specializes in serving hedge and private equity funds, primarily through reviewing K-1s and tax returns. He also has experience in reviewing partnership agreements for various tax implications, as well as reviewing extensive security analysis and analyzing trading reports for tax character and book tax differences. Prior to Richey May, Gareth worked in the Wealth and Asset Management group at EY British Virgin Islands. In addition to reviewing K-1s and tax returns, he assisted in the BVI tax advisory space, advising clients on the Economic Substance Laws and related tax restructuring considerations.
