Jeff is an excel expert and enjoys being able to share his skills with others. He has written code to insert macros to build efficiencies into some of the state templates that are used by the tax department. Jeff is also one of the main resources for fixed assets and state tax items. Jeff has more than seven years of experience as a tax professional in public accounting, providing service to privately-owned mortgage banking companies. Jeff discovered that he wanted to start his career in tax while working at H&R Block during college.
In his role as a Tax Manager at Richey May, Jeff reviews the work of associates, leads tax engagements and manages client projects and relationships. He also provides training to the mortgage banking tax staff and mentors his direct reports on their careers. Jeff’s favorite subject in school was math so a career involving crunching numbers was a perfect fit. His mother has many years of accounting experience and he followed in her footsteps to become an accountant.
Jeff currently lives in Utah with his wife and three sons. He has lived most of his life in California and Utah. Jeff is an avid sports fan and loves to spend time with his family hiking, camping and fishing.
