Nancy joined Richey May in 2012 and has over 10 years of experience in public accounting. As a Senior Tax Manager, she is responsible for reviewing the work of associates, coordinating and delivering tax engagement projects, managing relationships with clients, supervising tax consulting projects and researching complex tax issues. Nancy primarily works with clients in the mortgage banking industry, but has extensive experience working in other areas, including real estate, hotel operating and management companies, oil and gas, construction, engineering, manufacturing, trucking, farming, and other various service companies. She has expertise in multi-state tax filing and international tax reporting as well.
Nancy’s experience working with clients has given her a unique perspective on business operations. She is consistently looking at the big picture for those she serves, helping identify strategies for improving their tax situations. In one instance, Nancy played a key role in facilitating a cost segregation study that ended up saving the client over one million dollars in tax benefits.
Nancy was drawn to a career in accounting due to her detail-oriented personality and interest in the challenges companies face, as well as the revolving tax law changes. A strong work ethic and desire to succeed have helped Nancy develop into a successful leader.
A current resident of Centennial, Colorado, Nancy loves the abundance of activities available to her and her family. She is an avid water skier, runner and personal fitness enthusiast. Having grown up in a large family on a small farm in rural Colorado, she attributes the majority of her success to the value of hard work and life lessons that were instilled in her by growing up on a farm.
